Technical QA Lead

Role

Leads technical testing strategy, bug triage, regression priorities, and build reliability across devices and systems.

Description

A Technical QA Lead plans and coordinates quality assurance for technically complex immersive projects. They define test passes, prioritize defects, coordinate testers, track regressions, and help ensure that builds are stable across hardware, software, interaction systems, and installation conditions.

Testing & QA Context

Within Testing, Evaluation & Quality Assurance, the Technical QA Lead gives structure to testing work. They connect bug reports, build schedules, device targets, technical risk, and release readiness.

Scope Note

Includes QA planning, test matrices, regression strategy, bug triage, device coverage, release checks, technical risk tracking, and communication with development and production teams.

Boundary Note

A Technical QA Lead is not necessarily the person fixing bugs. The role focuses on testing strategy, evidence, prioritization, and readiness.

Collaboration Note

Common collaborators include QA testers, developers, build/deployment engineers, technical producers, systems engineers, device compatibility testers, and installation technicians.
