Risk Register

Technique

A planning technique for recording project risks, their likely impact, and how the team will respond.

Description

A risk register gives the team one place to track uncertainty. It records what could go wrong, how serious it would be, who owns the risk, and what action is planned. In immersive projects, risks often cross creative, technical, financial, safety, access, and venue concerns.

Typical Use

Used during risk planning, production scheduling, budget planning, stakeholder management, installation planning, and safety review.

Scope Note

This technique may include risk descriptions, likelihood ratings, impact ratings, owners, mitigation actions, review dates, and status notes.
