Operational Readiness Review

Technique

A review technique for checking whether an immersive work is ready to run for real participants in a real setting.

Description

An operational readiness review checks whether the work can be opened, staffed, reset, cleaned, supported, and closed without avoidable problems. It looks beyond the creative build to the full running conditions of the project. In public settings, this review helps prevent small operational gaps from becoming audience-facing failures.

Typical Use

Used during exhibition operations planning, installation planning, safety review, facilitation rehearsal, QA, and final venue preparation.

Scope Note

This technique may include staff roles, opening checks, reset routines, cleaning steps, support contacts, device readiness, emergency procedures, and daily closeout tasks.
