Concept

Production Phase

Formation of the central idea, creative proposition, and experiential premise.

Description

Concept is the phase where the project begins to take an identifiable shape: a premise, experiential proposition, audience relation, format, tone, world, system, or core interaction idea. It gives the team a shared creative center before detailed design or production begins.

Scope Note

Includes concept statements, references, mood, intended experience, audience frame, early format decisions, and creative constraints. It should not be confused with final design specification or production planning.
