Stitch Line Check

Technique

A 360 capture technique for checking whether image seams, stitch lines, or camera joins are visible or distracting.

Description

A stitch line check reviews where the captured image is joined together. It helps the team find seams that cut through faces, hands, props, text, or important action. In headset review, even small stitch problems can break presence or draw attention away from the scene.

Typical Use

Used during 360 camera blocking, spatial video capture, capture review, QA, documentary VR, and final media review.

Scope Note

This technique may include headset review, seam checks, performer-position notes, object-placement notes, camera settings, stitch tests, and retake recommendations.
