Calibration Pass

Technique

A repeated check that confirms the immersive system is aligned, tracking correctly, and ready for participants.

Description

A calibration pass checks whether the setup still matches the intended experience. It may confirm room scale, headset tracking, controller alignment, audio playback, projection alignment, sensors, or mixed-reality anchors. In public installations, this check may need to happen before opening and at regular intervals during the day.

Typical Use

Used during installation setup, exhibition operations, QA passes, facilitator rehearsal, mixed-reality setup, and daily public operation.

Scope Note

This technique may include tracking checks, room-boundary checks, anchor checks, headset tests, controller tests, audio checks, projection checks, and reset confirmation.
