Run-Through

Technique

A rehearsal technique for practicing a full sequence from start to finish.

Description

A run-through tests how a sequence works when nothing is skipped. It helps the team see timing, transitions, staff actions, participant flow, and technical cues in context. In immersive projects, a full run often reveals problems that smaller tests miss.

Typical Use

Used during rehearsal workshops, facilitation rehearsal, experience rehearsal, installation planning, QA, and final public preparation.

Scope Note

This technique may include complete sequence practice, timing notes, cue checks, reset checks, staff notes, participant stand-ins, and post-run fixes.
