Feedback Circle

Technique

A review technique for gathering structured feedback from participants, collaborators, or stakeholders after a test or walkthrough.

Description

A feedback circle creates a shared moment to discuss what was observed. It helps the team hear different perspectives while the experience is still fresh. The discussion should separate what people noticed from what they think should change, so feedback does not become a list of personal preferences.

Typical Use

Used after playtesting, participatory walkthroughs, rehearsal workshops, community consultation, stakeholder reviews, and prototype demos.

Scope Note

This technique may include guided questions, round-robin comments, observation summaries, priority notes, disagreement notes, and next-step decisions.
