Build Notes

Technique

A short record of what changed in a project build and what reviewers or testers should pay attention to.

Description

Build notes help the team understand what version they are looking at. They explain what changed, what is new, what is broken, and what still needs review. In immersive work, build notes are especially useful because a small change in tracking, input, timing, or performance can affect the whole experience.

Typical Use

Used during QA, internal reviews, playtesting, platform packaging, sprint reviews, and handoff to clients or venues.

Scope Note

This technique may include version numbers, change summaries, known issues, test priorities, device notes, install steps, and rollback notes.
